I’m always amazed by panoramic landscape photography. How it captures and draws you in the scene, making you feel like you’re almost there watching the entire stunning scenery. But in order to capture these breath-taking moments, you need to be at the right time and place. As with any landscape photography, these shots are taken most suitably during the “golden hour” (sometimes known as ‘magic hour’), a term in photography and cinematography referring to the first and last hour of sunset or sunrise. This special moment of time brings the best range and depth of color especially when capturing panoramic drama in photography. So aside from choosing the right moment and environment, you’ll also need a combination of the right panorama equipment (hardwares like DSLR, lens and filters, tripod, L-plate, Nodal slider, tripod level, panning tripod head) and software for stitching to be able to produce the perfect panoramic shot. There are a lot of helpful resources around to help you achieve expertise in panoramic landscape photography if you’re really serious in this craft. And to get you started, we gathered some 20 examples of breath-takingly beautiful panoramic sunrise and sunset photos that you can use as reference and inspiration. Enjoy the sceneries.
