I did some business cards and letterheads for a client last weekend. And now I have here some spare designs to share for everyone. These are just random doodled designs and are not part of the design set that I did and presented to my client.
The business cards are in standard size of 3.5 by 2 inches. While the letterheads are in A4 (210 × 297 mm) paper size. All these business card and letterhead designs have bleeds (bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge). So you have to take into account a bleeding area of at least 1/8 of an inch (on one side) larger than the trim size. All three designs have enough bleeding allowances so you don’t have to worry about it, but you can still make your own adjustments anyway you like it. I am just reminding you some important printing rules just in case you do something similar next time.
Another useful tip in designing corporate identity logos and materials is to use less number of colors as much as you can. Yeah I know. This is a no brainer tip. But still, a very important tip that I just like to remind everyone. So the less colors used in your logo the cheaper the printing costs will be for you. If you can change and lessen the number of colors by using spot colors, playing around with tints and shades without sacrificing aesthetic quality, the better.
You can use the logos in these designs, modify it or use your own, it’s up to you. These are all yours for free with no usage restrictions.

I wanted to do more but I ran out of time and needed to do other things. But don’t worry, I’ll be giving away more templates like these next time.
