September 2009 Calendar Desktop Wallpapers

Yes it’s September. Most of us associate September, the first of the ber months, as the start of the Christmas countdown. We can’t help ourselves get excited knowing that Christmas is just around the corner (I also can’t wait to get my hands on the new gadget I’m saving for myself as a Christmas gift).

Also this month, we’re starting something new here in this blog. I’m giving away calendar desktop wallpapers every month. Although this is not really a fresh idea (smashingmag has been doing this for quite some time now), but instead of just some free for all design concepts, we will feature designs that reflect a particular event or celebration  associated with that month. Let’s say December. Of course it’s obviously Christmas. So our desktop calendar wallpapers for December will surely have Christmas theme. You can also submit your own designs to be featured starting next month. Once selected, they will be featured on the following month along with your own credits and website link. Cut off submission dates of your calendar desktop designs for the following month will be on the 20th of the current month. Acceptable wallpaper size should not be smaller than 1024 x 768 pixels. You may also submit just one maximum size of 1920 x 1200 pixels or size it accordingly from 1024×768, 1152×864, 1280×960, 1280×1024, 1600×1200 to 1920 x 1200. You may email your designs to

Today I made some calendar wallpapers for September, commemorating something that we are all familiar with and happened in September 8 years ago. Due to some sensitivity issues with our sponsors, I won’t describe these designs any further. These five desktop wallpapers are good enough to tell their own stories.

Download links provided below are two separate links which you can choose from, either those with calendar or without. All wallpaper images are measured 1920 x 1200 pixels, which should be big enough to cover most display screen sizes.

All of these images are public domain images that came from the U.S. Department of Defense Imagery.

A company proposal is produced to reflect the professionalism of your organisation and is there to persuade a buyer that your goods or providers are useful to them. Along with any other collateral it is the proposition that you are giving to the client and what will hopefully win much more function for that business.
