Apple’s New iPad (iPad 3) was officially launched Wednesday last week and is due to be released in the market this coming Friday, March 16.
Compared to the previous iPad (iPad 2), the New iPad will have more pixels (more pixels than a 50-inch HD TV!). It features a new high resolution Retina Display capable of displaying 2048 x 1536 resolution with a whooping 3.1 million pixels all squeezed in its 9.7 inch HD screen.
With its new 2048 x 1536 retina display screen, the old 1024 x 1024 pixel wide ipad wallpapers are no longer appropriate. To better enhance your viewing experience with this new retina display, you will need to use at least 2048 x 2048 pixel resolution wallpapers.
