The whole world mourns today the passing away of one uniquely genius man, Steve Jobs. Apple Inc Chairman and former CEO died last night after a long battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. He will be remembered as our emblematic visionary who transformed our lives and shaped our technology. So why is 1024 x 1024 the perfect wallpaper resolution for iPad if it’s screen resolution is just 1024 x 768? It’s because your iPad can be used horizontally or vertically. When you turn your iPad from the horizontal to vertical orientation, or vice-versa, it automatically rotates its wallpaper to match its orientation. And it doesn’t resize its wallpaper to fit its new orientation. So you will need exactly 1024 x 1024 to cover both orientations. And there will be 4 squares, sized 128 x 128 on 4 corners of your wallpaper image which will not be seen in your iPad in either horizontal or vertical orientation.

The white area in the middle is the visible area at all times (horizontal and vertical orientation). The green squares on four corners are the non-visible 128 x 128 pixel sized area. It’s desktop calendar wallpaper freebie time once again and I have three desktop calendar wallpapers here that you can use for the month of April 2010. Sorry for posting this one a little late. I forgot about February having only 28 days. Anyhow, here are five March 2010 desktop calendar wallpapers that you can still use for the remaining days of this wonderful month of March. March is the first month of spring. My favorite season of the year. Spring brings us warm and sunny weather. It’s also the season where flower blooms and reminds us of new life and how wonderfully God created everything around us. So the first three wallpapers are spring season inspired. The fourth wallpaper is St. Patrick day inspired which is also one of the biggest celebration held in the month of March. It’s a celebration not just for Irish people but for everyone inspired by the Irish tradition of faith in God no matter what.

The fifth one is a simple wallpaper dedicated to the International Women’s Day which is commemorated on the 8th day of March.
