It has been gloomy for the past few days, particularly today’s weather. So I thought of doing something suitably gloomy. As I looked around searching for inspiration, I came across some of my grunge textures and backgrounds. I popped-up Photoshop and dabbled some grunge inspired Twitter background templates.

Some of you might say, here we go again doing filthy grunge. I myself always deny that I am big fan of grunge designs. And in as much as I want to stay away from it, I oftentimes find myself doing something grungy. Well I guess, grunge designs are still here to stay. They still linger even after many years Nirvana died. So now, I’m sharing with you, three Twitter background templates in Photoshop, grunge collage style.

All three Photoshop PSD files are archived in one file which you can download from the link provided below. All three PSD files are neatly organized with layers and masks for easy customization. All these Twitter backgrounds doesn’t have any marks of my ownership or advertisement. I want you to use it freely as your very own customized twitter background. Our last free Twitter background template set in Photoshop featuring paperworks design is a smash hit. Thanks to all who featured our Twitter backgrounds in their respective sites. Now I am more inspired to design and give you more free Photoshop Twitter background templates. So I thought, if we had paper last time, let’s have some wood designs this time.

Wood and paper designs have been showcased a lot of times by design blogs as some of the popular web design trends these days. Though it’s really hard to foresee what design trend will remain or come up next simply because designers are a fickle lot. We love to experiment on new and unusual things. But there are design trends that really stick longer and eventually become classics. And among those few design trends that I think will stick around for a longer period of time are wood and paper textured designs coupled with some collages, personalized hand written texts, and hand drawn design elements. And those designs are exactly what we have today.

I made two template designs in Photoshop. Each template design have two wooden texture backgrounds that you can choose. You just have to hide the top background layer to see how the next one looks like. Similar with all our other PSD Twitter templates, all design elements are neatly layered for easy customization. You can move them around and arrange them according to your preferences.  Displayed below are preview images of our two design template files. First image preview is the actual size upper left portion of the background, followed by two full screen preview of both wood backgrounds. For today’s free Twitter backgrounds, we are featuring something special for everyone. I’m calling it “paperworks”. These are three special paper backgrounds with some dramatic elements added like notepads, coffee stains, and some objects like pencil, a ticket and the usual polaroid photo which you can replace with your own portrait. All of these objects are layered separately so you can easily manipulate everything to suit your own taste. If you are bored with your usual flat Twitter background image, then these images are worth a try.

As with our previous Twitter backgrounds, these Twitter background templates are in Photoshop PSD files. All PSD files are neatly layered for easy customization. You may want to reshuffle and adjust elements or remove everything and just retain the background and add your own objects. Or you can simply use the PSD file as your guide should you decide to create an entirely different Twitter background. Do whatever you want to make your own cool Twitter page.

Twitterers swarmed our previous Free Twitter Background Template in Photoshop PSD files. Now due to insistent twitter demand, here are more twitter background freebies for everyone. This time we have three different shades of blue background that wil surely relax and soothe your senses. Very similar with our previous twitter background designs with few minor twitches. I have added a few text and logo elements on the left which you can simply replace with your own. Plus a new twitter T and bird on the right part of the background.

Again, these Photoshop files are neatly layered for easy customization. You may want to remove everything and just retain the background and add your own design elements. Or you can simply use the PSD file as your guide should you decide to create an entirely different Twitter background. Do whatever you want. It’s your twitter page anyway.

Free Twitter Background Templates in Photoshop: Shades of Blue – 10.97MB

I’ve been itching to redesign my Twitter background since weekend but couldn’t find time to do anything until today. I still haven’t done mine but I managed to do three nice twitter background templates in Photoshop. These templates come in three color flavors, green, blue and orange. Document dimensions are 1600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels height. Enough to cover most of today’s monitor resolutions (standard 17-inch monitors use 1280 x 1024). You can still adjust the size if you want. The background images still have some spare spaces to cover larger dimensions.

You can replace the polaroid photos on the upper left hand corner and customize it with your own photos or graphics. They are neatly layered and masked (see image of layers below) for easy customization. You can also replace or customize the twitter button below (courtesy of icontexto), which is also placed on a separate layer. You can also add more text/content (your desciption, website links, etc.)  or your own logo below the polaroid photos.

After you’re done customizing your background, just save it in JPG or PNG (use Save for Web & Devices option and make sure it’s less than 800KB), head on to your twitter account, and fire away your new cool Twitter background. Oh and one more thing… before you save your background image, don’t forget to hide the middle content. I know you know that… I’m just reminding. Enjoy!
