We’ve got some free InDesign and Illustrator templates, but only a handful of Photoshop PSDs and most of them are Twitter background templates. Most of the time we do boring PowerPoint templates that are designed for standard bullet point presentations. Copy paste standard charts from Excel while using one of those bundled templates that comes with MS Office. You may be able to include all necessary details and data needed for your presentation but to effectively present it is another question.

A well developed Powerpoint presentation gives your audience a terrific visual to accompany your words. But most often, we are so engrossed building the content hence compromising visual quality. Using  a well designed, professionally looking template can exceptionally augment your presentation.

And to help you get you started, I have here three pre-formatted PowerPoint templates that you can use to quickly create professionally looking and effective presentation. These Powerpoint templates are just basic templates which you can customize and use for a wide variety of presentation needs.

There are plenty of free vector graphics around but finding good quality artworks specifically for your needs is not so easy. I may only have a few ones to share but I just hope that everyone find these as good quality vector graphics and useful for their designs.

If you happen to have trouble designing your own CD label and jacket, here are some design samples and templates that you can use to enhance your design presentation. We have here 3 exclusive vector CD design presentation templates that you can download and use for free. Each design is properly layered where you can easily change the CD label and jacket artwork to your own design. Simply select the “design” layer, remove the clipping mask for both jacket and CD, delete the old artwork and paste your own, then apply the jacket and CD clipping mask to your own artwork. Easy.

2010 is almost over. I think it’s true when they say the more you get older, the faster time flies. Wasn’t it just yesterday when we were all panicking over Y2K and how the world will end, computers and all sort of machines shutting down. Yes, it’s amazing to think that it’s over a decade ago, almost everything has changed and so many things happened since then.

We may be leaving another year behind but we will always carry with us previous memories to cherish forever. 2010 and backwards will always remain a glorious book filled with fondest chapters of my life. I will always cherish and keep that book in a very special place somewhere in my heart forever. To those who know me personally knows what I’m talking about.

More requests for free InDesign templates, particularly magazine templates are coming in lately, so I decided to share one today. This magazine layout looks more generic, suitably because it’s a template. Although magazine layouts have their own basic rules, it is most of the time effective when appropriately and creatively done out of the box or when you break some rules to make it more interesting. Good magazine layouts are not just good layout designs, every design element contributes their own unique part in making a design an aesthetic success.

This particular template should work with most general purpose magazines and can also be easily adjusted and tinkered for other types of magazine layouts. This template consists of 12 8.5 inches by 11 inches (letter) full-colored pages. Packaged rar file consists of the InDesign CS4 indd file, INX (interchange) file, fonts and link images.
